Jesus healing the sick...

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Now there is in Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate, a pool which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here, a great number of disabled people used to lie- the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for 38 years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?".

"Sir..." the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

For those of us in Life who are lonely, bothered by guilt or regret, in pain, or in desperate need of something whether for the body, for the mind, for the heart or for the soul, there is a Way. And this is through Jesus, his Son, who is the Truth.

For those of us seeking love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, even forgiveness, there is only the One God who can help, no one else. And this is through Jesus, who is the only Way to him.

We are taught to pray and tell all our problems to God who has all the solutions, who is ever faithful to answer our prayers, and who is unceasing in His care and love. For we are his children, are we not? and he would never allow us to lack for anything but would want us to share in his abundance. Yes, and this is through Jesus, who is the Life.

We ought to know it was never part of God’s Plan to put us in the terrible situation we are in. Our wrong or poor choices in the past landed us in this valley of despair, poverty, ill-health and misery. But we are assured that he still has his “plans to prosper us and not to harm us, and plans to give us hope and a future.” He sent his son to show us the Way and release us from this wheel of pain to which we find ourselves shackled from day to day.

Come join us in this exciting adventure in getting to know Jesus, his Son, who leads the Way so our Life will be in his Truth, blessed with abundance from the Source of all things good, joyful and beautiful. Come.

Together, we will walk a path you have never trod before. Or, we will soar like eagles with a Friend and Brother who loves us unconditionally, who provides for life's every need, a consoler who shares our deepest hurts and eases our pains, a. healer of our afflictions, a protector to guard us from harm, whose greatest desire after our life on earth is to bring us into his Kingdom where there is no sorrow, but only peace, love and eternal happiness.
